The coldish afternoon of 29th of November was the perfect setting for a casual gathering of our, sysadmin fans! As a 24/7 system administration for infrastructure, we don’t get to see our IT enthusiast, potential customers and developers in person every day; that is why we’re particularly excited and the reason why we host a meet-up. Feeling your passion for Docker, MemSQL and System administration in general is definitely what motivates us to achieve excellence in our services. A big thank you goes out to all attendees who visited our presentation!
The 1st Sysadmin meetup kicked off with a presentation covering how to use Docker basics, making Docker Images with useful tips and Docker containers networking. The presentation on making Docker images by our Linux System Administrator Rastko caught the attention of quite a few tech guys in the crowd.
Following our presentation was an two-hour long tour in the knowledge of tools in system administration exploring functionality of MemSQL Ops web interface. For the most people, it was a rare occasion to see how to create a simple MemSQL cluster with 3 nodes.
The event rounded off a networking session in the gallery where guests could exchange experiences with our engineers. We were inspired to hear stories about your perspective and answered of all questions.
Stay tuned if you couldn’t make it to the meet-up this time. We are plannig to organize some more sessions next year.
